Bourbon brand for dog-lovers seeks funding
A husband and wife have launched a crowdfunding campaign to establish a new whiskey business that appeals to dog-lovers, called Two Bitch Spirits.
Two Bitch Spirits is inspired by Joe and Lauren Luby’s two doberman puppies
Joe and Lauren Luby, self-confessed “lifelong lovers of whiskey and dogs”, are hoping to raise US$100,000 through Indiegogo to launch their business, which is inspired by their two Doberman puppies, Scarlett and Sage.
Las Vegas Distillery will produce bottlings for Two Bitch Spirits, also based in Nevada, including whiskey, moonshine and “multiple Bourbon editions”, such as cask strength and single barrel variants.
“We love getting family and friends together for great times at our home bar,” said Joe Luby. “Creating our own brand of spirits is just a natural extension of that cheer and friendship to a larger audience.”
Investment options ranging from US$10.00 to US$10,000 are available, offering a ranging or rewards and benefits.
Those who contribute funds will be inducted into the company’s ‘Distiller’s Circle’ and will be recognised on a special web page as an early supporter, receiving early access to new limited-release products, special offers, and invitations to special events.
Two Bitch Spirits will also initiate a donation programme for dogs, partnering with rescue centres, shelters, therapy programmes.
“We see this program expanding as the company grows,” said Lauren Luby. “We are still in the early stages of development, yet we have made supporting dog-related causes an essential part of our company and brand.”
