Copenhagen to stage drinks festival
In collaboration with Copenhagen Cooking and Food Festival, Copenhagen By The Glass will showcase Danish spirits and mixology with a series of tastings and discussions.
Copenhagen By The Glass will host a wide range of tastings, discussions and talks
Organised by cocktail enthusiast Geoffrey Canilao of Balderdash bar, Copenhagen By The Glass will run from 19-21 August and is supported by Copenhagen’s best bars and bartenders.
The show will include a wide array of talks and panel discussions with international guests, such as Alex Kratena and Monica Berg who will host a talk titled ‘What the Amazonian jungle has in common with modern bartending’.
Guests can watch the city’s leading bartenders showcase their skills and take part in special tastings from products in the area. Bars taking part include Atze Peng, Duck and Cover, Ruby, Blume, Curfew, Holmens Kanal, Lidkoeb, Stork and Gilt.
Along with tastings across cocktails, spirits, wine, tea, coffee, seminars will be put on by Danish cocktail bars, concentrating on bartending skills, innovation and sustainability practices.
Copenhagen By The Glass will also coincide with Copenhagen Cooking Week, which runs from 19-28 August, showcasing the best of Copenhagen’s creative cuisine.
The show will be held at Halmtorvet 11, 1700 Copenhagen, Denmark.
