Bloom Gin launches new bottle design
By Amy HopkinsQuintessential Brands has unveiled a new bottle design and label for its Bloom London Dry Gin brand celebrating the role of master distiller Joanne Moore.
Bloom Gin’s new bottle design references master distiller Joanne Moore for the first timeThe revamped bottle references Bloom Gin’s master distiller Joanne Moore for the first time on its label, celebrating her 10th anniversary in the role.
The coloured glass of the bottle remains the same since its launch in 2008, with embossing inspired by the gate Moore’s English country garden and incorporating the date 1761 – when G&J Distillers, maker of Bloom Gin, started distilling in Cheshire.
Said to “better reflect” the positioning of the super-premium gin, the design was created by Quintessential Brands in partnership with design agency Indentica.
In addition to new front and back labels, the bottle now features images of Bloom Gin’s botanicals, including honeysuckle, pomelo and chamomile.
“We are delighted with our enhanced packaging for the Bloom Gin brand, in celebration of Joanne Moore’s 10 years as master distiller,” said Kate Harrison, international marketing manager, premium gins at Quintessential.
“The new design highlights everything that makes Bloom Gin so special – a light and floral gin marketed in a sophisticated and stylish way.
“Bloom Gin has grown exponentially over the last two years and we are confident that this new packaging will propel the brand towards future long-term growth.”
The new bottle design will be available in the UK from mid-July in major supermarkets including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and Booths. It will then rollout to on-trade wholesalers in the UK and in more than 25 markets globally from August 2016.
Earlier this month, Bloom Gin partnered with online florist Bloom & Wild to launch a gift-with-purchase promotion.
