Satryna Tequila launches in UK

Tequila brand Satryna, which is based on a 60-year-old recipe passed down through three generations, made its UK debut this week.

Satryna will launch its Blanco and Cristalino Tequilas in the UK

Launched by Nitzan Marrun, maestra tequilera mireida cortes from the Newton distillery, Satryna Tequila follows a 60-year-old recipe from the Tequilera Newton in Mexico. The brand debuted its Blanco and Cristalino expressions in the UK at a launch dinner held at Annabel’s this week.

Satryna is made from 100% blue weber agave from Jalisco, Mexico. After 12 years of growth, the plants are steam cooked for 24 hours before the collected liquid is fermented and distilled three times.

The Tequila is then aged in oak barrels imported from Cognac and California.

Once mature, the Tequila is bottled in a bespoke decanter inspired by Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos – the Day of the Dead. The glass bottle is topped with a metal skull cap based on an original design by Mexican craftsmen from Oaxaca.

Satryna Blanco will carry an RRP of £72.50 (US$90) and Cristalino will be priced at £135 (US$169).

The two Tequilas will be available in-store exclusively through Selfridges, and online via The Whisky Exchange. The brand will also be stocked at London venues, including The Wellington Club, The Groucho Club, Annabel’s and Tramp.
