After five “successful” seasons, Rémy Martin has partnered with live entertainment company Live Nation to “unite producers across popular music genres while fostering the community around the art of making music”.
For the sixth season, Grammy Award-winning producer Jermaine Dupri will be the face of the programme and will select the winner.
With entries now open, the series will host four regional competitions across the US, with participants competing for a spot in the finale in Atlanta. The first competition will begin in Los Angeles with four finalists from the area. Semi-final events will be held in New York City, Chicago and Miami from August to September.
The winner will receive a five-song contract with American record label So So Def Records. One of the five produced tracks will be selected by Dupri for a co-sign with an artist feature.
“Rémy Producers is a programme I strongly believe in because it supports emerging music producers and creatives by providing a platform for them to be seen and heard,” said Dupri. “Through this programme, Rémy Martin supports revealing the excellence of music production through the ever-evolving music industry.”
To kick off the sixth season, Rémy Martin and Live Nation held an educational Music Producers Summit at the Live Nation headquarters in New York City. The event featured two panel discussions, live producer and DJ sessions, and Q&As with leading producers and previous partners of past Rémy Producers seasons.
