Amorim debuts ‘innovative’ stoppers

Leading cork producer Amorim has released a series of “innovative” capsulated stoppers as part of its Top Series range.

Spice Box is an “elegant” transparent top with a swivel lid that can be used to store dried botanicals and spices. This provides an “easy solution” for customers to mix their gins, as well as provide spirits producers with the option of adding a pre-selected spice.

The Multi-Assembled Caps (MAC) series is described as a “customisable system of multi-components for premium stoppers”.

Customers can choose from a mix of components, including cork size, as well as customising the different elements of the top.

100% Natural Origin stoppers have been created in response to “increasingly eco-aware consumers”. Cork answers this trend by being 100% sustainable, recyclable and renewable.

Amorim has also implemented new bio-based polymers that are exclusively derived from renewable and biodegradable sources.

The stoppers are thought to be the first on the market to include bio-based polymer capsules produced from materials of a natural origin.
