MHW expands to Europe with Templeton Rye partnership
By Melita KielyUS beer, wine and spirits importer MHW has expanded internationally for the first time, entering the European market with Templeton Rye Whiskey.
Templeton Rye Whiskey has agreed a distribution deal with MHWEstablished in 1995, MHW boasts a roster of more than 350 wine, spirits and beer clients in the US from more than 80 countries.
John Beaudette, president of MHW, said: “There is a growing demand for US craft products in Europe that we are now able to serve with a depth of distribution and reach that has been previously unavailable to producers without substantial investment.
“Our goal is to become a trusted advisor for brands looking to enter European markets by leveraging the practices that have driven decades of success in the US.”
The MHW European platform will operate through a logistics hub in the Netherlands with additional support in the UK, as well as back-office support from more than 100 professionals in New York.
Services in Europe will include: compliance and European legislation consulting; customer service; operations support; and accounting.
