Silent Pool creates botanical-inspired tea blend

Surrey-based Silent Pool Distillers has teamed up with the Rare Tea Company to produce a limited edition tea blend inspired by the 24 botanicals found in its gin.

Silent Pool Gin G & Tea can be purchased along with a bottle of the gin

Part of the English producer’s Intricately Realised series, Silent Pool worked with Rare Tea Company founder Henrietta Lovell to create Silent Pool Gin G & Tea.

To create the product, chamomile flowers from a 14th-century botanical garden in Cornwall have been blended with Croatian blossoms to form a “soft, grassy” base. Mediterranean lemon verbena, sweet lemongrass from Sri Lanka, and Yunnan white silver tip have also been added to the blend.

The buds of the Yunnan white silver tip are harvested for only five days a year.

Silent Pool Gin G & Tea can be served both hot and cold, in a cocktail, or used to infuse Silent Pool Gin.

Rare Tea Company is the fourth collaborator to partner with Silent Pool Gin for the Intricately Realised Series, a range of partnerships with producers sharing the gin’s values: quality, individuality and uniqueness.

Silent Pool Gin G & Tea is available to purchase in a gift pack alongside a 700ml bottle of Silent Pool Gin via www.31dover.com priced at £47.95 (US$63.24).
