Julian Cox joins Three Dots and a Dash

Noted bartender Julian Cox will oversee the beverage programme at Three Dots and a DashHaving overseen the beverage program at recently opened trattoria, il Porcellino, Cox is expanding his role to become beverage director for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (LEYE), which features the award-winning Polynesian-inspired bar in its portfolio.
“Julian is one of the most talented bartenders in the country. He continually blows our minds with his creations,” says managing partner R. J. Melman.
“When he showed us what he wanted to do with the menu at Three Dots and a Dash, we couldn’t wait to get started and see where he and the team will take the tiki program.”
Cox’s new menu at Three Dots and a Dash – which in 2014 was named Best New American Cocktail Bar by Tales of the Cocktail, and secured a spot in the World’s 50 Best Bars – will debut early May 2016, offering “authentic tiki cocktails blended with some more modern interpretations of the tiki style”.
“Tiki was such an exciting era in beverage history. The cocktails focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the fun environment was just as important as the drinks themselves,” said Cox.
“The team at Three Dots and a Dash is so talented, and I’m having a great time working alongside them experimenting with new ingredients and styles. I think our team’s passion and excitement for tiki will really reflect in the new Three Dots and a Dash menu.”
