The brand has partnered with distributor, The Cachaça Company, to launch initially in the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK and Italy.

Expansion throughout the rest of Europe will continue in 2017.

“We have had our eye on the European market for quite some time and have been looking for the right partner,” commented Cuca Fresca’s CEO, Phoenix Kelly-Rappa.

“We are thrilled to have been approached by The Cachaça Company as their deep appreciation and knowledge for the category, as well as their relationships with key accounts in this market, will surely allow for meaningful growth for the brand.”

The range of products available will include Cuca Fresca Ouro, which has been aged in Brazilian wooden barrels for four years, and Cuca Fresca Prata, which has been matured in oak barrels for one year.

“Since we pride ourselves on having only the best artisanal cachaça, we felt we couldn’t keep Cuca Fresca from our customers,” said Matthijs Lindeman, The Cachaça Company’s CEO.

“We are very excited to work with Cuca Fresca which will allow us to add desired quality cachaça products to the European market.”
