New subscription service delivers pouches of single malt
By Owen BellwoodThe founders behind London-based whisky bar Black Rock have launched a new subscription service, offering whisky fans pouches of “rare and exclusive” single malts.
Whisky-Me will deliver pouches of single malt to member’s doorsThe new subscription service, called Whisky-Me, follows the bar’s ethos of “reinventing the serious image of Scotch whisky with a fun and fuss free approach”.
Every month, subscribers will receive a 5cl pouch of whisky selected by Black Rock founders Thomas Aske and Tristan Stephenson. The drams have been selected to demonstrate the diversity of Scotch and although it will be a surprise each month, subscribers can expect whiskies from The Macallan, Royal Lochnagar and Aberfeldy.
Whiskies will be selected for their rarity and exclusivity, offering members a chance to discover more about single malt and the flavours they enjoy.
As well as the whisky pouch, subscribers will also receive easy-to-follow tasting notes, drone footage of the distillery and data and facts about the dram’s production.
The aim of Whisky-Me is to create a “digital whisky community”, subscribers will be rewarded as membership milestones are reached and members will benefit from rewards such as one-off casks straight from the distillery. As the service grows, more rare whiskies will be made available to members.
The Whisky-Me subscriptions start at £7 (US$9) per month from https://www.whisky-me.com/.
