Pinkster Gin takes on ex-Diageo on-trade director

Pinkster gin has taken on a former Diageo on-trade director on an advisory basisVan Buuren boasts no fewer than 27 years of experience in the spirits business, holding positions with companies including Grand Metropolitan, Guinness and Diageo.
“Having someone like Martin working with us will undoubtedly step things up a gear,” commented Will Holt, director at Pinkster Gin.
“It’s a very exciting appointment for us; we need some expert guidance as we get bigger, and Martin provides that in spades.
“This really shows our commitment to the on-trade.”
In other brand development news, Pinkster Gin has taken its first steps into international markets having secured a distribution deal with Direct Brand Distributors in Australia.
Meanwhile, back in the UK and Pinkster Gin has found even more reason to celebrate following its deal with wine and spirits retailer, Bibendum.
“I think this partnership will be really good for us as they do a lot of premium on-trade stuff,” said Holt.
“We are trying to be quite quirky with our brand and are currently working to raise more finances.”
Holt also told The Spirits Business that Pinkster Gin is readying to launch in the US and Spain following the completion of further distribution deals.
Last year, Pinkster Gin launched its first product extension in the form of Boozy Berries.
