New additions to Gin Guild board of directors
By Melita KielyThe Gin Guild has made two new appointments to its board of directors – Dr Anne Brock and Jim Long.
The Gin Guild has announced two new additions to the board of directorsBrock is the distiller at Bermondsey Distillery, which producers Jensen’s Gin, while Long is the international corporate affairs manager at Britvic plc, but has previously worked at Chivas Brothers.
“Anne and Jim have been closely involved with The Gin Guild since inception,” commented Nicholas Cook, director general of The Gin Guild. “Dr Anne Brock is from a boutique distillery, which helps to ensure that craft distilling is equally represented on the board.
“She is well respected by the broader gin community and brings her PHD science background to the mix.
“Anne’s technical contributions to seminars, including The Gin Guild’s one-day annual gin industry Ginposium event, have proved particularly popular.
“Jim Long was a member of the management committee at the time The Gin Guild was conceived, and as a result, is very familiar with how it operates and the objectives that we seek to deliver for our members.
“Jim brings his experience of major and historic distillers to the board alongside his PR skills.”
