According to the Lexington Herald Leader, the Nelson County-based distiller was granted US$150,000 tax incentives for its multi-million dollar plan to grow its maturation and warehousing operations.

In addition to Elijah Craig, Heaven Hill owns the Evan Williams, Pikesville, Rittenhouse Rye and Henry McKenna Single Barrel American whiskey brands.

Earlier this month, the group announced it had acquired the fast-growing Deep Eddy Vodka brand.

In June this year, fellow American whiskey producer Buffalo Trace revealed its plans to build an additional 50 warehouses over the next 10 years.
