Lakes Distillery unveils Pedro Ximenez cask-finished whisky
Cumbria’s The Lakes Distillery has expanded its The One blended whisky brand with the launch of a limited edition Pedro Ximenez cask-finished variant.
The Lakes Distillery has unveiled a Pedro Ximenez cask-finished whiskyThe One whisky blends more than 18 different liquids from distilleries across the British Isles – and the new extension sees this original expression finished in former Pedro Ximenez casks made from European oak.
Master blender and chief whisky maker Dhavall Gandhi said: “The palate is smooth and creamy with notes of vanilla, sun-dried raisins and nutmeg.
“For me, it tastes of dried fruits with hints of fresh ginger and toffee with a gentle smoky finish.”
Just 5,252 bottles have been released at an RRP of £39.95.
