New look for Glenfiddich 21 YO Gran Reserva

William Grant & Sons has revamped the packaging for Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva to reflect the whisky’s “exotic Caribbean flavour notes”.

The whisky is finished in Bourbon barrels that have been seasoned with Glenfiddich’s own “secret recipe” Caribbean rum

The new design has been modelled on a “Scottish-Carribean twist” to emphasise the company’s experimentation with “unique” flavours.

Malt Master Brian Kinsman finishes the single malt in Bourbon barrels that have been seasoned with Glenfiddich’s own “secret recipe” Caribbean rum.

The rum is made especially for this purpose, and is intended to inject a flavour twist into the traditional Scotch.

In a statement, the brand said: “Not many whisky makers would go to the trouble of creating their own original rum to season a cask but being family-run and owned, Glenfiddich can try new ideas and experiment with flavours,
never compromising quality for short term gain.”

Described as an “exquisite, traditional Speyside whisky” with “exotic notes of ginger, lime and banana and a vibrant spicy warmth”, the whisky is bottled at 40% abv, and is available at an RRP of £115.00.

Last year, Glenfiddich introduced a new-look stag logo on its bottles and marketing material as part of a makeover of its entire single malt Scotch whisky range.
