‘World’s first’ London Dry citrus vodka
By Melita KielyNB Distillery has branched out from the world of gin and launched the “world’s first” London Dry citrus vodka in the UK today.
NB Distillery claims to have created the “world’s first” London Dry citrus ginHusband and wife duo Steve and Vivienne Muir, the founders of NB Gin, have created London Dry Citrus Vodka, but claim the new release is “certainly no flavoured vodka”.
Numerous botanicals are used during the distillation process to deliver the citrus flavour, before the vodka is blended to 40% abv.
“Like our gin, we’ve not compromised on quality using only British pure grain spirit and the best botanicals we can find,” said Vivienne Muir.
“What we’ve produced is totally new and we thing that it will throw a curveball into the vodka market in terms of its uniqueness.
“There are no gimmicks or strange quirks involved. The innovation lies within its extremely stringent production method, which has allowed us to create something very classic, very natural, and of the highest possible quality, following the London Dry process to the letter.
“There are no additives or sweeteners in our London Dry vodka and it’s very versatile, so it’s delicious on its own but is also an excellent base for cocktails.”
The first batch comprising 300 bottles of NB London Dry Gin are now available to purchase from Lockett Brothers in North Berwick at an RRP of £28.50 per 700ml bottle.
