Joseph Cartron launches new plum liqueur

Liqueurs producer Joseph Cartron has launched a new Crème de Mirabelle bottling made using hand picked plums from the Lorraine region in France.

Crème de Mirabelle is the latest release from Joseph Cartron

Described as 100% French terroir, the liqueur uses cherry plums harvested between mid-August and mid-September.

The distillery claims Crème de Mirabelle has a full and elegant flavour of fresh fruits and cooked jam.

“The Joseph Cartron Crème de Mirabelle is yet another opportunity to work a rare and very delicate product, ideal for bartenders and amateurs of forgotten flavours,” said Joseph Akhavan, ambassador for Joseph Cartron.

Crème de Mirabelle is made by macerating pure alcohol with the plums inside vats for seven to eight weeks at room temperature.
