Hendricks: encouraging backwards behaviour in 2012
By Marinel FitzSimonsHendrick’s gin will be hosting a series of events across the country to celebrate the fact that 2012 is a leap year.
Traditionally, on the 29 February, socially accepted conventions are flouted and women are encouraged to propose to the men.
Hendrick’s will run two parallel events throughout February in honour of this world-on-its-head situation; the “Lady’s School of Nuptial Conquest”, which will teach ladies across the UK how to bag their man; and the “Hendrick’s School of Scoundrels”, specially designed to teach men how to wriggle out of such situations.
At the end of the month, the Hendrick’s ‘Preposterous Proposal Throne’ will pop up at a selection of venues across London where ladies can propose.
