Bombay Sapphire distillery launches gin workshops

Bombay Sapphire is now offering an interactive programme of gin workshops and cocktail masterclasses at its recently opened gin distillery at Laverstoke Mill.

Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill distillery is now offering visitors gin workshops and cocktail masterclasses

Visitors to the Hampshire-based distillery – which opened earlier this month more than a year later than originally planned – will have the opportunity to take part in interactive gin workshops and cocktail masterclasses, which will each represent a different journey through the creation of Bombay Sapphire.

The Cocktail Masterclass will be led by gin experts who will provide various hints and tips to enable visitors to recreate the drinks at home, and tailor the class to each guest’s preferred tastes.

A range of cocktail-making equipment will be available for purchase from The Gin Shop.

Those who choose to participate in the Gin Workshop will explore the history of Bombay Sapphire, while the resident gin experts will discuss the gin and provide the chance for participants to touch, smell and taste the 10 exotic botanicals that are infused into the brand.

In addition, guests will also receive a step-by-step guide to create Bombay Sapphire gin cocktails at home.

Both programmes include The Self-Discovery Experience where visitors can explore the distillery using an interactive map, including the Dakin Still house, Botanical Dry Room, Heritage Room and Gallery.

Each class ends with a complimentary Bombay Sapphire cocktail in the Mill Bar. Located next to the River Test.

The Gin Workshop is priced at £25 per adult, or £22.50 for concessions, while the Cocktail Masterclass is priced at £35, or £32.50 for concessions.

Both sessions can be booked in advance via the Bombay Sapphire Distillery website.
