Berry Bros unveils rare ‘exceptional casks’

UK wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd has released four rare spirits as part of its Exceptional Casks CollectionFour expressions have been released as part of the collection of rare spirits: North British Single Grain 50 Year Old, 1977 Jamaican Rum Overproof (35-year-old), and two single casks of 1972 The Glenlivet single malt (41-years-old).
The North British bottling was taken from two remaining sister casks in December 2012. Described as having notes of melon, vanilla, nectar and spice, there are only 472, 58.9% abv bottles available at an RRP of £500.
There are 170 bottles of The Glenlivet 1972 Cask #1072 (53.2% abv) and only 40 bottles of Cask #1081 (46.1%) available for £650.
Finally, just 110 bottles of the 60.5% abv Single Cask 1977 Overproof Jamaican Rum are available for £500 as part of the collection.
