Heaven Hill is set to launch the eighth edition of its Parker Heritage CollectionThe 2014 Parker’s Heritage expression will be a 13-year-old straight wheat whiskey made using the first stocks of Bernheim whiskey produced in 2001.
The super-premium release, which is non-chill filtered and bottled at a cask strength of 67.5% abv, will be rolled out to key US markets in September.
Josh Hafer, communications manager for Heaven Hill, said: “With rye in shortage, we decided to use the oldest Bernheim wheat whiskey we have for the latest expression instead.”
Last year’s release, named Promise of Hope, was created to raise funds for the Parker Beam Promise of Hope Fund, which aids those living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Heaven Hill donated US$20 from the sale of every bottle to the fund, eventually doubling its target of raising US$250k.
Parker’s Heritage Collection’s 2014 release will be available for US$90.
