Whisky experts select new Booker’s Bourbon
By Amy HopkinsBeam Inc has released the first batch of Booker’s Bourbon to be hand-selected by a roundtable of whisky experts.
The most recent batch of Booker’s Bourbon has been hand-selected by a roundtable of whisky experts from across the globeBooker’s Bourbon Batch No. 2013-6 has been selected by seventh generation Beam master distiller Fred Noe and numerous whiskey advocates, writers and experts in celebration of the legacy of Noe’s father and eponymous brand founder, Booker Noe.
Roundtable members participated in virtual tastings and discussions during the selection process, reflecting Booker Noe’s tradition of gathering friends and family to taste his preferred batches.
“Nearly three decades ago, Dad would gather his friends around the kitchen table to taste his personal Bourbon stash to determine which would become the next batch of Booker’s Bourbon,” said Fred Noe.
“I’m proud to keep that tradition alive. For our first official batch from the roundtable, we’ve selected a Bourbon featuring robust flavours, with notes of strong spices and unique lush cherries.”
Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2013-6, which is aged for seven years and bottled at 126.5 proof, will roll out across the US during October at an RRP of US$49.99.
