Basketball star Dennis Rodman launches Bad Boy Vodka

Former basketball player Dennis Rodman has developed his own vodka brand, Bad Boy, which is due to launch in California, US, later this month.

Bad Boy Vodka has been developed by Rodman in collaboration with Premier Brands, for AB Partners LLC, the group’s drinks development and incubation service.

Premier Brands was inspired by Rodman’s “bad boy reputation”, branding the frosted white bottle with a bull and a tattoo-style font in red lettering.

Double distilled from wheat, the vodka is described as “adding a smooth and edgy twist to a classic spirit”.

“The taste is incredible, the bottle is a work of art, and the brand is already recognisable. We have already had interest from brokers and accounts,” commented Jorge Olson, president and CEO of Premier Brands.

The former Chicago Bulls player notoriously reinvented himself as a ‘bad boy’ in the mid 1990s, clashing with players on opposing teams and famously dating high-profile celebrities including Madonna and Carmen Electra, whom he married. His antics led to him releasing a 1996 autobiography titled Bad As I Wanna Be.

Bad Boy Vodka will launch in California on 27 July at an RRP of US$20.
