Hayman’s Gin redesigns packaging
By Chloe WareHayman Distillers is relaunching its gin range with new packaging.
The new-look Hayman’s Gin, which takes its design cues from the Victorians
The range includes an updated logo, new bottle design and new labels based on a bespoke family bottle found in the brand’s archive from 1947.
Hayman director, James Hayman, the fifth generation of the Hayman family said: “This is a chance for us to celebrate 150 years as family gin distillers and give the brand a more modern feel while highlighting our rich heritage.”
Amongst the changes is the impressive broad-shouldered bottle with its embossed slogan: ‘Hayman Distillers. Family Gin Distillers since 1863, England.’
A bespoke hand-drawn typography, influenced by the Victorian era – when gin experienced its first resurgence – adorns the new labels.
Hayman’s produces a range of six different styles from the gin family, which follow the evolution of gin over the last 150 years.
The new branding will feature on the core range of Hayman’s London Dry Gin, Hayman’s Old Tom Gin and Hayman’s Sloe Gin. Hayman’s Royal Dock Navy Strength will also feature the new branding with the rest of the range, including Hayman’s 1850 Reserve following shortly after.
The new range uses one bottle design while the labelling gives each its own identity, with the overall design providing a ‘unified family feel.’
Hayman’s will be revealing the new packaging at Vinexpo Bordeaux on 16-20 June where they will be serving gin and tonics at a Speakeasy Gin Bar stand everyday from 4pm.
