Tequila Tromba lands in UK
Independent distributor Maverick Drinks has partnered with Tequila brand Tromba to launch its portfolio in the UK.

According to Tromba, Maverick Drinks’ track record of building craft brands across retail, on-trade, wholesale, and e-commerce channels, and expertise makes it an ideal partner.
Tequila Tromba makes its UK debut with four expressions: blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo.
The blanco offers bright notes of pepper, mint and caramelised pineapple on the palate.
Reposado, aged six to eight months in white oak barrels, presents notes of chocolate, caramel, and dried red fruits, while Tromba Añejo delivers ‘deeper complexity’ achieved by longer maturation.
The brand’s extra añejo is aged more than 36 months in American white oak casks, resulting in notes of vanilla, wood, and caramelised agave on the palate.
Tromba claims to be a 100% agave, additive-free, small-batch Tequila from Jalisco, created by master distiller Marco Cedano and now led by master tequilero Lilia Quintero.
The brand is dedicated to caring for the ecosystems that support agave cultivation.
The Agave Rewilding Project (ARP) is Tromba’s ongoing initiative to restore and protect endangered agave species throughout Mexico’s growing regions.
So far, the project has planted more than 5,000 endangered agaves in Zapotitlán de Vadillo, as well as 10,000 native trees and plants across two hectares in Atotonilco, Jalisco.
Part of UK-based Atom Group, Maverick Drinks returned to the ownership of its founder, Justin Petszaft, in 2024.
Alongside Master of Malt and Atom Brands, Maverick Drinks was previously owned by ZX Ventures, the growth and innovation unit of AB InBev.
