Saltire Rare Malt Whisky strengthens global team
Scottish independent bottler Saltire Rare Malt Whisky has ‘accelerated global ambitions’ with new appointments in North America and Asia Pacific.

The Fife-based whisky company, which launched in 2024, has described the new hires as its ‘largest investment in people to date.’
Joining the company are whisky educator and author Gary Clark as national sales manager for the US, along with industry veterans Jared Card and George B Summer, who will serve as brand ambassadors for the Mid-Atlantic and New York regions.
Former brand strategist and commercial partnership specialist Laura Sol will now serve as Saltire’s business development manager.
Kotaro Kurihara will take on the role of product marketing specialist for Asia Pacific – which has been described as one of the company’s ‘most important international markets.’
Co-founder of Saltire Rare Malt, Kieth Rennie, said: “From day one, our ambition has been to build an international Scotch whisky company while staying true to Scotland’s whisky heritage. Just over two years on, we’re proud to see our bottlings enjoyed by collectors around the world, but we believe the best is still to come.”

Saltire was born from a longstanding partnership between founders Nigel Heywood and Keith Rennie.
The firm announced its first major expansion in 2025, which saw it hire new staff tasked with growing the brand’s presence in the UK, European and US markets.
