Hacien Tequila seeks investment

UK-based Tequila brand Hacien is launching a crowdfunding campaign to strengthen its position in the global market.

Hacien welcomes consumers to invest in the brand’s global expansion

Launched in 2021, Hacien Tequila is crafted from 100% agave blanco distilled in Jalisco, Mexico.

In addition to its blanco and añejo cristalino varieties, the brand offers four flavoured expressions: Pineapple, Lemon & Lime, Coffee, and Summer Berries.

The flavoured range has been designed to capture the attention of consumers seeking something new and exciting within Tequila.

In 2023, the UK Tequila market was reportedly the fastest-growing major spirits category in the region. According to data from Market Research Future, the sector is projected to reach £1.25 billion (US$1.67b) by 2035.

While unflavoured Tequilas lead the category, Hacien aims to drive growth in the flavoured Tequila segment in the UK and globally.

Seb Francis, founder of Hacien Tequila, said: “We believe Tequila is having its gin moment, and just like gin, flavour is going to be the fuel that drives the next decade of growth. We’ve built Hacien from the ground up to lead that charge.

“With authentic 100% agave foundations, serious distillery credentials, and flavours that honour traditions. Now we’re opening the doors so the people who believe in this category can be part of building it.”

The brand has raised £800,000 (US$1.07m) since its launch, which includes a ‘significant’ investment from the founder.

The funds raised through Republic Europe will be used to enhance brand and e-commerce growth, expand distribution in the UK, and pursue international opportunities, including a confirmed listing with the premium UAE retailer Spinneys.

Additionally, the funds will be allocated for inventory to accommodate increasing demand.

Hacien is currently available in more than 350 venues across the UK, including Harvey Nichols, Michelin-starred restaurants, and Top 50 bars.

The brand has also been featured at official afterparties for the Monaco F1, the Sony Music Brit Awards, and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Between 2025 and 2026, Hacien Tequila reportedly achieved tenfold growth in e-commerce sales and received multiple accolades, including medals at The Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2026.

The crowdfunding campaign will launch soon on Republic Europe, with priority access now available.
