IBA and Cocktail Club digitalise industry standards
By Miona MadsenThe International Bartenders Association (IBA) has partnered with Cocktail Club to launch the industry’s first operational platform built on IBA standards.

The IBA represents professionals from more than 70 national guilds worldwide. In its latest initiative, the association has teamed up with Cocktail Club to play a leading role in modernising the hospitality industry.
The new system is described as the first comprehensive operational tool specifically designed for the bar industry. It aims to provide bars and restaurants with an effective system for managing recipes, training staff, and handling daily operations from day one.
Powered by the SaaS solution-backed Cocktail Club Pro, the IBA Operational Tool promises to eliminate the need for manual sheets and separate instructions, saving venues time and money.
The platform centralises recipe and menu management, ensuring that all beverage programmes are easily accessible in one location.
Daily routines and staff checklists are updated in real-time, while event management is efficiently handled within the same system.
From day one, every account includes the complete IBA Official Cocktail List, providing an immediate foundation of global standards.
Bruno Santos, president of IBA, commented: “The industry needed a solution that stops the endless cycle of manual updates and retraining. IBA has always set the standard for professional bartending. By presenting this operational tool and partnering with Cocktail Club to deliver it, we are taking the lead in giving bars a practical way to run their daily operations efficiently.
“For the first time, our knowledge is not just a reference – it is the system the team actually runs on, saving time and increasing profitability.”
The tool also includes features that enhance adaptability. Managers and staff can communicate their needs in straightforward language, and the platform takes care of the rest. This includes setting up events, creating menus, uploading existing recipes, or training new hires.
Existing recipes and menus can be transferred into the system with just one step, eliminating the need for any manual reformatting.
To promote early adoption, the association is offering a 50% sponsorship on the first year’s license through the IBA Launch Support programme.
Plans begin at €250 (US$336) per year for small venues. This sponsorship is available for a limited number of venues.
Venue managers can start a free 14-day trial on the Cocktail Club website.
