Hayman’s creates special edition for Heathrow
Family-owned distiller Hayman’s has launched a duty free exclusive edition to celebrate London Heathrow Airport’s 80th anniversary.
The gift-wrapped bottle was designed specifically for international travellers as a distinctive London souvenir.
Hayman’s London Dry Gin Heathrow 80th Birthday Edition is now available at the airport in a one-litre bottle for £21.99 (US$29).
Fraser Brown, retail director at Heathrow, commented: “We are delighted to partner with London family gin distiller, Hayman’s, to develop an exclusive 80th Anniversary Gin to celebrate this occasion.
“This follows our collaboration with them on our recent Best of British campaign across the airport, recognising them as the authentic London gin brand.”
Crafted in London since 1863, Hayman’s claims to be the original London gin. The Haymans are the last family of original gin distillers still operating in the capital.
Earlier this month, the brand partnered with LW Theatres to open its Gin Bar at The Terrace, located at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London.
Last year, The Spirits Business interviewed fifth-generation distiller Miranda Hayman, who celebrated her 20th anniversary at the company.
