Cotswolds unveils seventh Hearts & Crafts edition
By Miona MadsenEnglish producer Cotswolds Distillery has released the seventh whisky in its Hearts & Crafts series, which has been aged in Madeira casks.

Launched in 2020, the annual series celebrates the arts and crafts movement, which flourished in the Cotswolds in the late 19th century.
The seventh release, Cotswolds Hearts & Crafts Madeira Cask Single Malt Whisky, has been matured in hand-selected American oak ex-Madeira casks and bottled non-chill filtered at an ABV of 54%.
On the nose, the whisky offers aromas of cherries, toffee and frangipane, followed by freshly baked Bakewell Tarts, dried strawberries, and sweet spices on the palate.
The release is limited to 1,200 bottles, with a recommended retail price of £100 (US$134) for a 700ml bottle.
Each bottle comes in a presentation tube adorned with a floral design intertwined with birds and summer fruits, set against a deep claret background.
The design is inspired by the artwork of William Morris, a prominent figure in the arts and crafts movement who spent most of his summers at his home in the Cotswolds, Kelmscott Manor.
The limited edition is available from today (11 June) exclusively at the distillery and its website, as well as two satellite stores in Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Previous casks used in the Hearts & Crafts collection include Sauternes wine barriques in 2020; Pineau des Charentes barriques in 2021; rum-seasoned ex-red wine casks in 2022; Banyuls-seasoned casks in 2023; Pineau des Charentes casks in 2024; and ex-Calvados casks in 2025.
Last month, Costwolds launched Wild Spritz English Aperitivo, bringing the taste of the English countryside to summer serves.
