Beesou expands European distribution
By Joe RogersMark Wakefield, founder of the British apéritif brand, describes the new round of distribution deals as “a defining moment for Beesou.”

Beesou will now be distributed in the UK by Cask Liquid Marketing, in France by L’Explorateur du Goût, in the Netherlands by Bemakers, and in Norway by a partnership between Bacchus Beverages and Broken Bottles.
Launched in 2022, B Corp-certified Beesou Bitter Honey Aperitif is made with ethically sourced British honey and botanicals. It is intended primarily for use in Spritzes and other apéritif cocktails.
Speaking on the significance of the new appointments, Wakefield said: “Securing an exclusive UK partnership with Cask, alongside outstanding distribution partners across France, the Netherlands, and Norway, is a powerful validation of both the brand and the momentum we are building.
“These agreements will enable us to reach more consumers than ever before and establish Beesou in some of Europe’s most exciting drinks markets.
“This is just the beginning of our international journey, with further expansion, including the US, firmly in our sights.”
Stuart Hekins, co-founder of Cask Liquid Marketing, added: “We are incredibly excited to partner with Beesou and introduce a new style of apéritif to the UK market. The category continues to evolve, and we see significant opportunities for brands that challenge convention while remaining relevant to modern drinking occasions.
“We are proud to support Beesou’s journey and look forward to building the brand with the trade across the UK.”
This new round of distribution deals follows last year’s announcement that Beesou had secured £500,000 (US$677,000) in funding from a UK-based private equity firm to increase production and support its expansion into new markets.
Beesou donates 10% of its profits to support bee conservation through a partnership with Bees for Development.
