Tequila Mi Familia makes European debut
By Miona MadsenAgave spirits distributor AliasSmith has launched Tequila Mi Familia in the European market.

The Mexican brand will be available in Spain and Romania, with plans for gradual expansion across the rest of the continent.
In Spain, early consumer and restaurant reception has been “very positive” in the first months of activity.
The market launch follows Tequila Mi Familia’s reported ‘strong growth trajectory’ in the US.
Since its US debut in 2022, the brand has grown from 1,000 bottles given as gifts among friends to selling 420,000 bottles per year, with distribution through Total Wine & More.
Tequila Mi Familia was established by Guadalajara-based entrepreneur Pedro Flores, who also founded Maquinados Flores – Mexico’s ‘largest’ glass container mould manufacturer.
For two decades, Flores and his company have crafted moulds for several Tequila makers, including Siete Leguas, Don Julio, Patrón, Jose Cuervo, Gran Malo, and new packaging for various brands.
Encouraged to launch his own brand by distillery owner Roberto Real, Flores named his 100% Blue Weber agave Tequila after his family.
Tequila Mi Familia’s diamond and pyramid bottle design was chosen by Flores’ wife, Liliana, inspired by a family heirloom decanter.
The brand offers eight expressions, most of which have been aged in Bourbon barrels, bottled at 38% ABV. These include blanco, reposado, añejo, extra añejo, reposado cristalino, añejo cristalino, and Supremo, matured for two years in ex-Cognac casks.
In Europe, AliasSmith will initially commercialise several products in the portfolio, with additional expressions to follow as market demand grows.
Tequila Mi Familia was informally launched in December 2020, followed by its official debut in April 2021.
In the first full year of trading in the US, Mi Familia sold 220,000 bottles. In the first two months of 2026, the brand shipped 90,000 bottles to the States.
