Orange has more than 16 years of experience in hospitality, including five years as bar manager at Manchester’s Schofield’s and stints at Hawksmoor and The Alchemist.

She said: “Joining Glory Days Hospitality as head of operations feels like a great next step for me.

“I’ll be working alongside [co-founder] Chris Edwards and the team across Sister Ray and Simone’s, two venues that have built strong reputations in the cocktail scene.

“After more than a decade based in Manchester, spending more time in Liverpool brings a fresh challenge, while the new Manchester opening this summer means I’ll still be closely connected to a city I’ve spent a big part of my career in.

“My focus in the role is supporting the continued growth of both venues and helping build on the quality, atmosphere and guest experience they’re already known for. There’s a lot happening this year, and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”

Sister Ray opened in May 2024 and has ranked in the Top 50 Cocktail Bars in the UK for two years running. Simone’s, meanwhile, is a dedicated vinyl-only den that transforms into a mini nightclub at weekends.

Edwards added: “Rachel is a fantastic addition to Glory Days Hospitality as we continue to grow in the north-west.

“She has years of invaluable experience working at the highest levels of hospitality, including full responsibility for the day-to-day operations at Schofield’s, demonstrating daily her exemplary leadership and strategic direction, while curating new menus, special events, collaborations and so much more over many years.

“We’re all thrilled to welcome her to Glory Days Hospitality.”
