Red Bank Canadian Whisky, co-founded by actor Kiefer Sutherland, has expanded its UK presence with a new listing in 136 Waitrose stores.

Sutherland and Gary Briggs, Shawn Hiscott and Rob Steele founded the whisky brand in 2022, with help from master blender Michel Marcil.

The brand came to the UK in May 2024 with help from distributor Mangrove Global.

According to Sutherland, Red Bank is the number-one-selling Canadian whisky priced at more than CA$45 (US$33) in Canada.

The whisky’s listing with Waitrose coincides with Sutherland’s 2026 UK music tour, which arrives in London in early May.

Nick Gillett, managing director of Mangrove Global, said: “Bringing Red Bank into Waitrose is a great step for the brand. Waitrose is known for its carefully curated spirits range, and Red Bank fits naturally within that environment.

“With Kiefer’s UK tour arriving in London in early May, it’s the perfect time to introduce more consumers to a whisky that combines authenticity, quality and a compelling story.”

The Canadian whisky is available at selected Waitrose stores with an RRP of £49 (US$66) for a 700ml bottle.

The brand currently produces only one whisky, however Sutherland anticipates limited edition releases will come in time.
