Glencairn announces leadership changes
By Miona MadsenScottish glassware company Glencairn has announced several leadership changes, including the retirement of its founder, Raymond Davidson.

Glencairn has made several director-level appointments to strengthen its leadership and support the company’s next generation of innovation, development, and global growth.
In the past two years, Glencairn has expanded into more than 80 additional countries, and its products now reach customers in over 140 markets worldwide.
The family-owned company has announced the retirement of Raymond Davidson, who founded Glencairn in 1981.
Scott Davidson has been appointed Glencairn’s new managing director, taking over from his brother Paul Davidson, who now becomes chairman.
Jason Kennedy continues to lead the sales team, while James Crilly focuses on purchasing and procurement.
Although the wider leadership team is expected to remain intact, the firm has added three seasoned industry experts from the drinks and packaging sectors.
Kirsty Nicholson, former marketing and design manager, has been promoted to the director level after spending 12 years with the company. In her new role, she will continue to lead and inspire the marketing team as the brand embarks on its next chapter of global growth.
Robyn Macdonald has been appointed to the board, bringing fresh expertise and creative leadership to Glencairn’s design capabilities.
With more than a decade of experience in the packaging industry, she will play a key role in driving the company’s ongoing product innovation.
Additionally, Macdonald will collaborate closely with Glencairn’s global partners and clients to bring ambitious creative visions to life.
Aileen Logan has more than 20 years of experience in the drinks industry and has officially joined the leadership team after several years with the company. In her new role, she will play a crucial part in supporting Glencairn’s continued growth, focusing on enhancing people, culture, and operational excellence throughout the organisation.
Logan will also help shape the company’s future as it expands internationally.
Davidson, Glencairn Crystal’s newly appointed managing director, said: “These changes mark an exciting new chapter for Glencairn as we continue to evolve and position the business for the future whilst building on the family legacy that has shaped the company for more than four decades.
“With our strong new leadership team in place, we are well-positioned to guide the business through its next generation of growth – driving continued creativity, pioneering innovation and international expansion, yet at the same time maintaining the craftsmanship, quality and customer focus that have defined Glencairn since the very beginning.”
The company, which was recognised last year with the King’s Award for Enterprise for innovation, is widely recognised for its Glencairn whisky glass.
In recent years, Glencairn has significantly expanded its product range through a series of industry-leading innovations.
As a sponsor of the Distillers One of One Auction, the company has created luxury decanters for more than a quarter of the unique lots featured in last year’s auction.
