Ex-Suntory manager joins ABUK as marketing director

Spirits distributor Amber Beverage UK (ABUK) has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Selene Cakmak-Rathee as marketing director.

Cakmak-Rathee joins ABUK from Suntory Global UK, where she most recently served as marketing manager for the company’s Scotch portfolio.

She is said to bring 25 years of experience in the food and drinks industry to her new role as marketing director of ABUK.

Before joining Suntory, Cakmak-Rathee worked at Edrington UK, where she led marketing for American whiskeys and mixables.

She has allegedly played a significant role in enhancing the market position of global brands, such as Maker’s Mark, through innovative campaigns and strategic brand development.

Cakmak-Rathee also has extensive experience in brand management and innovation, having collaborated with major international companies to create high-impact marketing strategies that drive commercial success in the competitive UK market.

Cakmak-Rathee’s appointment highlights ABUK’s commitment to enhancing its brand presence and marketing excellence as the company continues to expand its portfolio, which includes both owned brands and third-party agency brands.
