Cygnet highlights royal connection with signature serve

Welsh brand Cygnet Gin has created a new signature cocktail, Queen’s Cygnature Martini, as a nod to the British royal family.

The cocktail debuted at the King’s Trust Gala at Christie’s New York on 29 April. King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended the charity event.

The co-founder of Cygnet Gin, Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, is a regular performer for the royal family, including performances at Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond and Platinum Jubilees.

She received her Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Prince Charles in 2014.

To celebrate the charity founded by King Charles III in 1976 and mark the New York event, Cygnet Gin created a new signature serve, the Queen’s Cygnature Martini.

The cocktail features Cygnet 22 gin, dry vermouth, elderflower liqueur, and a dash of orange bitters. It is served in a Nick & Nora glass and topped with a lemon twist shaped like a fascinator.

The touch of elderflower is said to gently round the flavour of the gin’s botanicals, offering ‘a refined, elevated’ take on the classic Martini.

Cygnet Gin made its US debut last year with Southern Glazer’s. Since then, it has expanded its presence across the country through initiatives such as a St David’s Day celebration at Pebble Bar in New York City.

In January 2026, American luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report purchased a minority stake in the brand.
