Copy Taste Festival returns to Zagreb today
By Lauren BowesThe third edition of the Copy Taste Festival will take over Zagreb in Croatia on 14-15 May, with bartenders from Moebius, Mirror Bar and The Cambridge in attendance.

The festival will offer educational programming at the city’s Peti Kupe venue, with six bars hosting guest shifts: Peaches & Cream, Landsky Bar, Koi, Urania, Roots and Blend bar.
The first day of the event is dedicated to education, offering panels and seminars designed for sharing ideas. Moderators include Arina Nikolskaya, longtime academy chair for The World’s 50 Best Bars, and Anthony Poncier, founder of Top 500 Bars.
Dominik Bečvardi, co-organiser of Copy Taste Festival and co-owner of Peaches & Cream, said: “Our vision is for the educational portion of Copy Taste to be a space for exchanging ideas where the boundaries between speakers and the audience vanish.
“We are bringing in globally recognised individuals to provide our scene with insights into upcoming trends in an organic and applicable way for our bars.
“Our goal is to strengthen the regional community through knowledge sharing and collectively raising the industry standard.”

In the evening, Zagreb will welcome some of the world’s best bar teams, including Moebius Milano, Paris’ The Cambridge Public House, Athens’s Barro Negro, Slovakia’s Mirror Bar, and Florence’s Locale Firenze.
Mišel Posavac, co-organiser of Copy Taste and co-owner of Peaches & Cream, added: “We are bringing in bars that are currently at their peak – from Moebius, named the world’s best restaurant cocktail bar, to the team from Paris who holds the title of the best bar collective.
“This is a significant milestone for our local scene, as bartenders and guests get direct insight into the world’s most advanced techniques and service.”
New for this year are guest-shift brunches, hosted at Broom 44, Cynic, Holographik Space, Gradska Kavana and Tender, from 11am to 1pm on 15 May. The bars will host ‘new wave’ mixologists from Poland’s Tag, Hungary’s Hotsy Totsy, Greece’s Phillia, Romania’s Teoria, and Greece’s Purovōku Project.
The event will culminate in an open-air party in the courtyard of Peti Kupe from 5pm, where Central and Eastern European bartenders will serve signature cocktails alongside DJ performances.
Bar teams in attendance include Strings Bar from Split, Casa Bar from North Macedonia, Silk & Fizz from Slovenia, Okosh Bokosh from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Riddle Bar from Serbia, and Kokotov Rep from Montenegro.
Bečvardi added: “We are proud that in just three years, Copy Taste has become a project that bridges regional creativity with global excellence. It’s not just bars coming to the Peti Kupe courtyard; it’s world-class creatives presenting the pure identity of their home bars through signature cocktails.
“This is a showcase of the dedication, vision, and top-tier service our region offers the world today. Zagreb confirms its status as a metropolis capable of offering a world-class experience.”
Entry to the festival on Friday is free.
Copy Taste also hosted its first offshoot in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2025.
