Cobblestone Brands raffles ‘unicorn’ Irish whiskey

Dublin-based spirits company Cobblestone Brands will give attendees at Whiskey Live Dublin 2026 the opportunity to win a rare bottle of Knappogue Castle.

The winner of Knappogue Castle 1951 36-year-old Irish whiskey will be decided on 6 June

The 36-year-old ‘unicorn’ Irish whiskey was distilled at the now closed old Daly Distillery in Tullamore in 1951.

Gary McLoughlin, chief marketing officer of Cobblestone Brands, said: “It’s one of those mythical Irish whiskeys that people speak about in reverential terms.

“Very few bottles remain in the world, so we wanted to do something genuinely memorable for Whiskey Live Dublin and for Irish whiskey fans.

“As custodians of the brand today, we feel a responsibility not just to protect that heritage but to bring it back into the conversation in a meaningful way.”

Visitors who purchase any bottle of Knappogue Castle at the Whiskey Live shop during the event at RDS Dublin from 5-6 June will be entered into a draw to win the bottle.

The bottle will be drawn during the final session of Whiskey Live Dublin on Saturday 6 June.

The activation is part of Cobblestone Brands’ reintroduction of Knappogue Castle to the Irish whiskey community following the company’s acquisition of the brand from Irish Distillers in 2025.

At the event, Cobblestone will also present the Knappogue Castle range, including single malts aged 12, 14, 16 and 21 years, along with a selection of rare and aged releases from the company’s inventory of mature Irish whiskey stocks.

Earlier this year, Cobblestone Brands welcomed Dennis Carr as president of its US business.
