Clase Azul’s ‘most ambitious project to date’

Luxury Tequila producer Clase Azul México has unveiled La Hacienda, a 50-acre estate in Los Altos de Jalisco.

La Hacienda is located an hour from Guadalajara, Mexico

La Hacienda is described as a landmark destination rooted in culture, craft and national pride, designed to reflect ‘a deep, enduring investment’ in Mexico’s land, people and future.

The facility took more than a decade to complete.

Opening on 22 May and located one hour from Guadalajara, La Hacienda spans more than 50 acres of preserved volcanic landscape in the region where Clase Azul was born.

Clase Azul said La Hacienda is not just a hospitality endeavour, but rather a long-term investment in the country’s cultural and economic future.

The project has been built in collaboration with Mexican architects, artisans and makers.

“For us, this is more than a destination; it is a tribute,” said founder and CEO Arturo Lomelí. “La Hacienda reflects our deep gratitude to the land and the people who make our work possible. Every element comes from Mexico, and every decision was made with the intention of honouring and investing back into the country that gave us everything.”

The Clase Azul universe

La Hacienda will offer visitors access to the ‘full universe’ of Clase Azul.

For the first time, guests will be able to experience the brand’s processes through immersive, multi-sensory encounters, from the transformation of agave to decanter creation.

The visitor’s journey will begin at the welcome pavilion, where guests will receive cocktails and light bites before moving through agave pathways into the visitor centre – a contemporary reinterpretation of the main house of a traditional hacienda. Here, a retrospective installation, The Evolution of Clase Azul, introduces the brand’s story.

Next, the inspiration hall brings Clase Azul’s connection to Mexico’s land, traditions and people to life through video mapping, sound and sculptural works.

The experience continues with behind-the-scenes access to the Tequila and ceramics factories, where visitors witness the transformation of agave into spirit – from cooking and tahona milling to distillation – and the creation of each decanter, from raw clay to hand-finished detail.

The journey progresses through the bottling nave and into the icon cellar, where guided tastings of the brand’s most celebrated and coveted expressions take place among thousands of ageing casks.

La Hacienda also features a boutique showcasing limited edition decanters and a signature restaurant, OYA, where a menu inspired by distinct eras of Mexican cuisine are offered.

During its initial phase, La Hacienda will offer two bookable immersive experiences accommodating up to 10 guests per group:

The Discover experience lasts approximately 4.5 hours and includes the entire La Hacienda journey. It is priced at US$280 per guest.

Meanwhile, the Live experience is priced at US$600 and lasts approximately seven hours. It includes the entire La Hacienda journey and a six-course pairing experience at OYA.

The opening of La Hacienda follows the debut of Casa de los Leones earlier this year – Clase Azul’s Mexico City brand home – further advancing the brand’s vision to create immersive spaces that extend beyond spirits into culture, experience and global dialogue.
