Chicago Rum Fest returns for its 10th year
By Miona MadsenThe Rum Lab will return to Logan Square Auditorium this Saturday (25 April) to host the 10th edition of the Chicago Rum Festival.

The 10th-anniversary edition celebrates Chicago’s reputation as a leading global rum destination and a top-tier consumer market in the US.
Produced by The Rum Lab, this year’s festival is said to offer an experience beyond a typical tasting, serving as a key foundation for the modern ‘Rum Rebirth’ and offering an immersive journey into the history, craft, and future of rum.
The event will feature more than 40 premium brands, allowing attendees to explore around 160 unique rum expressions.
Guests can sample rare boutique labels alongside well-known brands, enjoying the spirit neat or in signature Twisted Daiquiris.
At the heart of the 10th-anniversary celebration is an educational programme featuring global experts in their fields.
The talks will feature several engaging topics, including ‘Drink Less, Drink Better’ led by Kate Perry from La Maison & Velier; ‘From Sea Depth to Sweet Finish’ focusing on Cayman Islands maturation; ‘The Costa Rican Estate’ by Pierre Bardinet from Nicoya Rum; ‘Historical Engineering’ hosted by Mitch Wilson from Black Tot and Adrienne Stoner from Planteray Rum; and a global spotlight on Philippines’ Tanduay Rum.
Rums of Puerto Rico, Planteray Rum, Dos Maderas, and Nicoya Rum sponsor the event.
Tickets start from US$25.96 and are now available on the festival’s official website, www.chicagorumfest.com.
