PM Spirits will take over from Glass Revolution Imports, which initially introduced Amrut to the US market.

Brooklyn-based PM Spirits, which has served as Amrut’s distributor in New York for more than a decade, will now represent the brand nationally.

Raj Sabharwal, founding partner of Glass Revolution Imports, said: “Retiring from a business that has become a passion is never easy. We are proud of our efforts to have established and built Amrut Distilleries as a successful brand in the US market.

“We feel confident that the team at PM Spirits will build on our legacy and continue to grow Amrut’s presence in the market.”

Led by Rakshit N Jagdale, Amrut offers a diverse range of expressions, including classic unpeated and peated single malts, as well as innovative releases like Amrut Fusion, which combines both peated and unpeated whiskies.

Additionally, Amrut plans to expand its portfolio to include a growing range of rum and gin.

Ashok Chokalingam, master distiller and chief operating officer at Amrut Distilleries, commented: “We’re very excited about this new partnership, which is less of something new and more of a continuation of years of success together.

“I’m confident that the synergies between our companies will ensure many years of growth and success.”

Founded in 2011 as a Cognac importer, PM has since expanded its portfolio to include Armagnac, Calvados, eau de vie, rum, mezcal, and whisky.

Nicolas Palazzi, founder of PM Spirits, said: “I was lucky enough to be introduced to Amrut more than a decade ago, and since then, my mind has genuinely been blown by the consistency and impeccable quality of every single release of theirs, from replenishable products to one-off bottlings.

“It is very hard to make things at such a high quality across the board for such a long time, yet Amrut does it. I’m proud to follow the footsteps of Glass Revolution and begin this journey as Amrut’s new US importer.”

Amrut is a family-owned distillery based in Bangalore, founded in 1948.

It produces most of its whisky from 100% Indian barley, primarily sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas.

The distillery ages its spirits at an altitude of over 3,000 feet above sea level, where the warm climate accelerates maturation and results in a higher-than-average angel’s share.

Rakshit N Jagdale is a founding member of the Indian Malt Whisky Association (IMWA), which officially launched on 20 March 2025.
