What better way to ring in spring than by making a few well-earned cocktails? From Juleps to Margaritas, we’ve rounded up some of the best recipes for March.

If January is slow and dry, and February flies by way too quickly, lets say March is the month when the year steadies out and you can really knuckle down and start honing your craft in the home bar. Or at least that’s what we’ll tell anyone that hasn’t managed to make any cocktails from home this year yet…
From mezcal Margaritas to classy Martinis, a Julep and a couple of lush blue cocktails that are coming into trend, there’s plenty of recipes in this month’s roundup to dig into and impress both yourself and any lucky guests.

Chic Elit

A chic serve created by the famed Salvatore Calabrese intended for premium venues, Champagne-forward cocktail lists, and now your very own home bar.
Ingredients:
- 60ml Chilled Elit Vodka
- 30ml Champagne
- 3-4 Dashes of orange bitters
- Garnish: Edible flower
Method: Add a few dashes of orange bitters to a chilled glass, then pour in chilled Elit Vodka. Top with Champagne and stir gently. Express a twist of orange over the drink and discard the peel. Garnish with an edible flower.
Blue 1575 Spritz

Tangy, bubbly and blue – the act of nursing a Spritz while gazing across the ocean is made for Lucas Bol’s premium blue liqueur. Easy sips just became way cooler.
Ingredients:
- 90ml Prosecco
- 60ml Bols Blue 1575
- 30ml Soda water
Method: Build all ingredients over cubed ice into the coppa glass and garnish with an orange wheel.
Margarita Azul

Did somebody say party? Lucas Bols answers the call with its blue Margarita.
Ingredients:
- 30ml Bols Blue 1575
- 45ml Tequila blanco
- 25ml Fresh lime juice
- 10ml Sugar syrup
Method: Shake all ingredients and pour into a Margarita glass. Garnish with lime wheel.
Strawberry & Mint G&T

The Gin & Tonic is unbeatable on sunny days, or any day really, especially this one from Sir Edmond: spruced up with fresh strawberry slices and mint.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Sir Edmond Gin
- 150ml Premium tonic water
- Garnish: Fresh strawberry slices and a mint sprig
Method: Fill a Martini glass with ice. Pour in the Sir Edmond Gin, and top with premium tonic water. Gently stir to combine. Garnish with fresh strawberries and a mint sprig.
Ginger

Expect a few hairs on your chest after this one, a fresh-brewed boozy ginger tea made with Tatratea. Comforting and daring in equal measure.
Ingredients:
- 40ml Tatratea 72% Outlaw
- 200ml Hot ginger tea
- Sugar or honey
Method: Prepare ginger tea, pour it into a glass, and add Tatratea. Sweeten to taste.
Ballroom Bramble

A quintessential British cocktail, made with Highclere’s Peach Rose gin, which is distilled using essential oils from the Lady Carnarvon roses that bloom in Highclere Castle’s gardens, and is infused with peaches grown on its estate.
Ingredients:
- 60ml Highclere Castle Peach Rose Gin
- 22ml Lemon
- 22ml Simple syrup
- 15ml Blackcurrant liqueur
Method: Add gin, lemon juice, and syrup to shaker with ice and shake. Strain into rocks glass over crushed ice and top with blackcurrant liqueur. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
Kadoo Spiced Cherry

Even though it’s simple to make, this delicious spiced rum cocktail looks (and tastes) like the work of a professional. So lap up the compliments when you serve it up at your next party.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Kadoo Carnival Spiced Rum
- 120ml Lemon-lime soda
- Grenadine float
Method: Add Kadoo Carnival Spiced Rum and lemon-lime soda to a chilled coupe glass. Top with a float of Grenadine, and garnish with a cherry.
Tight White Pants

A cocktail full of tropical flavours and reminders that you should be by the beach. We’re not sure about the tight white pants though…
Ingredients:
- 45ml Pantalones Tequila
- 75ml Pineapple juice
- 50ml Cream of coconut
- 150ml Lime juice
- Wedge of pineapple and a lime wheel to garnish.
Method: In a shaker with ice, combine Pantalones, pineapple juice, lime juice, and cream of coconut. Enjoy on the rocks or start up the blender and go frozen Margarita style. Pour the mixture into a glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and a lime wheel.
Mint Julep

Nothing signals spring like a refreshing, supremely sippable Mint Julep.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Label 5 Bourbon Barrel
- 15ml Cane sugar syrup
- Mint leaves
- Bitters
Method: In a Julep glass, crush five or six mint leaves with cane sugar syrup. Add ice cubes and pour Label 5. Mix and add crushed ice. Splash with a few dashes of bitters.
The Motel Mezcal Margarita

Created by Edgarito Santillan, this Margarita balances earthy mezcal with bright lime, soft elderflower and a touch of agave sweetness.
Ingredients:
- 35ml Motel Mezcal
- 25ml Elderflower liqueur (recommended – St-Germain)
- 15ml Agave syrup
- 25ml Lime juice
- Hibiscus salt, or any salt of your preference
Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake well and double strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge and hibiscus salt, or any salt of your choice.
Brandy Manhattan

This Manhattan, made with Beehive’s luxurious XO Gold Edition brandy, oozes sophistication.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Beehive XO Gold Edition
- 20ml Sweet vermouth
- 12 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- Orange slice or orange twist
Method: Stir Beehive Gold, sweet vermouth, and bitters with ice, then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with an orange slice or twist.
Royal Martini

Because, as is the universal saying: “When in doubt, make a Martini.”
Ingredients:
- 50ml Król I Organic Vodka
- Splash of dry vermouth
- Lemon coin
- Glass: Frozen Nick & Nora
Method: Rinse chilled glass with the vermouth, and discard. Pour the Krol into the glass and twist the lemon coin over it, then guide it around the rim of the glass before adding to the serve.
