Third Eye Distillery moves into spiced rum
Indian spirits producer Third Eye Distillery has launched a spiced rum brand called Lost & Found.

Third Eye Distillery, which produces Stranger & Sons Gin, said the rum category is accelerating across Asia.
It noted that India has a long lineage of sugarcane, native spices, and coastal trade routes that link the country to rum’s origins.
“India has always been a land where sugarcane and spice thrived long before rum became Caribbean; so it made sense to bring this story home,” said Rahul Mehra, CEO and co-founder, Third Eye Distillery.
“Lost & Found is shaped by the land we know, the monsoons that reset our seasons, coastlines that bring abundance, festivals that celebrate our harvests, and a food culture built on spice, craft, colour and flavour. That’s the India this rum represents.
Bottled at 40% ABV, Lost & Found was made in Goa using ingredients sourced from India.
The rum has flavours of bright orange, vanilla and tropical fruits, alongside nutmeg, cassia and cacao. The finish brings wild honey, oak and gentle spice.
The brand has also named Goa-based bar Hideaway as an ambassador for the rum.
Hideaway plans to bring the world of Lost & Found to life through music, community, storytelling, and tropical cocktails. Together, they aim to build a lifestyle-first brand that “celebrates the colours, rhythms and flavours of the Indian tropics as a way of life”.
“The Caribbean lifestyle is so similar to the Goan life despite the distance,” added Sheldon Abranches, partner at Hideaway.
“The love for the sea, the bouncing to heady rhythms in the air waves, and the fondness for indulging in dance and song at every opportunity are some of the few things our people share a deep bond over.
“At Hideaway, we love celebrating the Goan way of life, and we’ve found a great partner to do so with Lost & Found, because we’re both about the same thing, being surrounded by good people, making good drinks, and obsessive about having an even better time.”
Lost & Found rum is currently available in Goa for INR1,600 (US$17), with Maharashtra, Haryana and Karnataka to follow soon after.
Third Eye Distillery is also behind the Short Story spirits range, which includes a white rum.
Last year, Third Eye Distillery made its first move into whisky with the launch of Otherside Subcontinental Whiskey.
In 2024, Stranger & Sons partnered with Subko Coffee House to create a small-batch ready-to-drink Filtr Martini.
