Neurita Tequila secures Australian distribution
Distributor JQWS has partnered with female-founded Tequila brand Neurita, as the latter looks to capitalise on Australia’s growing appetite for agave spirits.

Under the agreement, JQWS will introduce Neurita’s 100% agave range to the Australian market throughout 2026.
Neurita recently updated its packaging and recipes and launched a blanco expression.
The brand said the partnership with JQWS is part of its broader push to expand distribution and visibility across Australia’s premium spirits landscape.
New Zealander Lucy Smith founded Neurita in the UK in 2021. Smith spent much of her twenties living in Australia, and the market has long been a priority for the brand.
“Australians love Margaritas – they’re consistently one of the most popular cocktails in bars and restaurants,” she said. “We believe Neurita offers something genuinely different as a flavour-led Tequila brand with a strong lifestyle identity.”
Neurita cited a report by Deep Market Insights, which estimated the value of the Australian Tequila market to be around US$146 million in 2024 and growing to nearly US$386m by 2033.
For JQWS, the partnership reflects continued growth in the premium Tequila segment, which it says has seen rising demand across Australia in recent years.
“Neurita’s strong brand identity and differentiated flavour profiles make it an exciting addition to our portfolio,” added Josh Blake, chief commercial officer at JQWS. “We see considerable opportunity for the brand as consumer interest in premium Tequila continues to accelerate.”
