In the past 15 years, Brisbane-born Tang has established a strong reputation in both hospitality and photography.

Now based in Paris, she collaborates with some of the world’s leading spirits brands, judges international cocktail competitions, and delivers masterclasses globally.

In addition to her successful bartending career, Tang also shoots and directs campaigns for brands like Hennessy, Belvedere, and Jack Daniel’s.

The Australian bartender will join forces with Peddlers Shanghai Gin on Wednesday 18 March to take over Hutong’s newest bar, located at London’s The Shard.

For Peddlers Gin, the event with Tang is part of its Year of the Horse celebration.

On the night, guests can choose from four cocktails curated by Tang from 7pm to 10pm.

The takeover promises a blend of world-class mixology, Chinese culture and sweeping skyline views over London.

Vijay Sanas, general manager of Hutong at The Shard, commented: “Hutong x Millie Tang is not just a collaboration; it’s a statement. This takeover marks a bold cultural moment – bringing one of the industry’s most exciting cocktail innovators into one of London’s most iconic dining destinations.”

Hutong London, on level 33 of The Shard, opened in 2013 and is part of the Aqua Restaurant Group.
