Aviation releases first flavoured gin
Actor Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation American Gin has introduced its first flavour innovation with Cranberry & Blood Orange.

The new expression is said to offer a vibrant twist to the brand’s signature gin with flavours of cranberries and blood orange.
Reynolds, co-owner of Aviation American Gin, said: “Innovation is at the heart of what we do. That’s true despite the fact that, until today, we have not really changed our product at all. I am so proud of our first actual innovation – the delicious Cranberry & Blood Orange.”
Designed for home bartenders, Aviation’s ever flavoured expression since its launch in 2006 can be used to create signature serves, including the Bloody Good Mimosa, Blimey Fizz, and the Crimson Cosmo.
Aviation Gin is made in Portland, Oregon, using cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, juniper, and two kinds of orange peel.
The Deadpool actor invested in the gin brand in 2018 and retained ownership interest after selling a majority stake to Diageo in 2020.
Ricky Collett, gin category marketing director at Diageo, commented on the new launch: “We’re proud to introduce Cranberry & Blood Orange to the Aviation portfolio as a meaningful expansion of the brand.
“We wanted to create new occasions for consumers to engage with Aviation in fresh, creative ways, and focused on crafting a liquid that delivers versatility, accessibility and an exceptional flavour experience.
“The combination of Aviation’s signature gin with tart cranberry and citrus-forward blood orange offers cocktail elevation while remaining easy to enjoy.”
Aviation Cranberry & Blood Orange Flavoured Gin is now available nationwide in the US at 40% ABV, with an average retail price of around US$32 for a 750ml bottle.
Last year, the brand released a limited edition Wrexham AFC Aviation American Gin bottle in celebration of the team’s success.
To celebrate the launch of Cranberry & Blood Orange, Reynolds appears in a new video showcasing Aviation’s perspective on innovation, emphasising that “creating a gin so full of flavour, it practically makes cocktails itself”.
