The ninth edition of the event will see bars offer signature cocktails and host workshops and tastings.

Participating venues include globally renowned bars Flying Dutchmen Cocktails, Belly of the Beast, Dutch Courage, and Super Lyan.

The other bars taking part are: Bar Oldenhof; Bar TwentySeven; Cue; Door 74; Feijoa; Fitz’s Bar; Hasta La Vista Baby; Law & Order; Lotti’s; LuminAir; Nido; Njoy; Pressroom; Prins & Aap; Rosalia’s Menagerie; Sins of Sal; Sonora; The Tailor, and Vault Bar.

Cocktail fans can enjoy two different walking tours throughout the week, each visiting three different bars. The ‘Discovery’ tour features Bar Oldenhof, Law & Order, and Dutch Courage, while the ‘Luxury’ walk visits Fitz’s Bar, Cue, and Prins & Aap.

Highlighted events include the Passion Fruit Collab, hosted by Sonora and Hasta La Vista Baby, which explores the enduring appeal of the Pornstar Martini and what else the tropical fruit has to offer.

Meanwhile, Bar Oldenhof will host an agave tasting, while Door 74 will dive into the controversial matter of shaken or stirred in a Martini workshop.

The city will also have bartenders fight it out for the title of the Best Espresso Martini of the Netherlands at a competition hosted at Hasta La Vista Baby.

On 1 April, Mijenta Tequila will bring German bartenders Betty Kupsa, of The Chug Club, and Maria Gorbachova, of The Green Door, to the Belly of the Beast and Flying Dutchmen Cocktails for the closing of the brand’s Women’s Month.

Other takeovers include Barcelona’s Paradiso at Door 74, Rome’s Drink Kong at Fitz’s Bar, and London’s Murder Inc at Nido.

Amsterdam Cocktail Week will also offer up The Knowledge Hub, where experts will share tips on running a successful bar during short talks.

The event will conclude with an official after-party on 6 April at Feijoa.
