Q Margarita Mix secures American Airlines listing
By Miona MadsenAmerican Airlines has expanded its in-flight offering to include Q Margarita Mix, which can be paired with Socorro Tequila.

Starting 1 February, travellers will be able to enjoy a cocktail experience on board with the introduction of Q Mixer’s non-alcoholic Margarita Mix to the airline’s in-flight menu.
Alongside the Margarita mixer, Q’s tonic water and club soda will also be available, as well as Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix.
These updated offerings are said to highlight American Airlines’ commitment to enhancing the customer experience at every stage of the travel journey.
The new rollout follows the introduction of Socorro Tequila aboard select flights in June 2025, offering it as an in-flight alcohol option for eligible passengers.
Socorro Tequila was launched in 2020 by spirits industry veterans Josh Irving and Pablo Antinori, based in Dallas, Texas.
Crafted in the highlands of Jalisco using traditional methods and 100% Blue Weber agave, Socorro Blanco Tequila is said to offer a ‘clean, additive-free profile’.
The Tequila is one of eight spirits offered by the cabin crew, alongside brands such as Aviation Gin, Bacardí Rum, Tito’s Vodka, and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
Q Mixers, from Brooklyn, New York, started with a portfolio of carbonated products, including tonic, ginger ale, ginger beer, and club soda, before expanding into cocktail mixers in 2021.
Despite being 10% of Q’s business, the cocktail mixers are growing, with the Margarita and Bloody Mary having high menu penetration in US restaurants, according to Jon Worthey, the company’s vice-president of strategy
